In 2003, PHMSA put on notice that all owners and operators of pipeline systems should determine whether their pipeline systems are susceptible to Stress Corrosion Cracking and assess the impact of SCC on pipeline integrity and whether or not their pipelines are subject to Integrity Management rules in an Advisory Bulletin.
Crack Management Plans
